How the guide is sourced, reviewed and corrected

The 50-State Regulatory Atlas and the service-line guides are educational summaries of public law. This page says where their facts come from, how each one is labelled, and how to report an error.

Primary official sources

Each finding rests on a primary official source: a statute, a regulation, an agency rule or an agency’s own published page. The source is linked beside the finding. Where only a secondary source could be found, the finding is labelled provisional and says so.

Every finding is dated and labelled

Each finding carries the date it was last verified and one of four labels:

  • Verified Read in the primary official source on the date shown.
  • Provisional Not confirmed in a primary source. Confirm with the state agency.
  • Disputed Sources conflict. Confirm with the state agency.
  • Superseded Replaced by a later finding; kept with its dates.

An item that could not be confirmed is shown as “Confirm with the state agency”. It is never written as a requirement, and never as an absence of one.

How findings are written and reviewed

AI assists with finding sources and drafting summaries. Every material interpretation is reviewed against the source before it is marked verified.

Permanent anchors and citations

Each finding has a permanent address on its state page, such as /licensing/texas#tx-state-license, and a Copy citation button that gives the finding, its last-verified date, its address and its official source as plain text.

Corrections

To report an error or a change in the law, write to hello@palomacares.com with the page address and the source. Corrections are reviewed against the official source and dated on the page.

Superseded findings are kept

When a rule changes, the earlier finding is labelled superseded and kept with its dates beside the new one. Nothing is silently deleted.

Who publishes the guide

Findings are researched and written by the Paloma Health Technologies Research Desk under the editorial leadership of the Founding Editor (RN, BSN); see editorial leadership. The guide is published and maintained by Paloma Health Technologies, which also builds healthcare software: Paloma Cares and Paloma Talent. Editorial findings are not determined by sales priorities. Product information appears only in clearly labelled blocks, never inside a finding. Where a third party, including another company or an accrediting organization, publishes the best source for a point, the guide cites and links it; proprietary standards are explained and linked, never reproduced.

Privacy

The guide uses no third-party trackers or advertising. When you follow a link to a Paloma product, we pass along which page of this guide you first arrived on, so we can see which research is useful. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control are excluded.

Not legal advice

The guide is educational. It is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Confirm requirements with the state licensing agency or counsel before acting.
